Harley Touring Bikes Are No Longer Geezer Glides (These Ain't Grandpa's Harley)
Harley touring bikes are not your dad or granddad's old Harley anymore these days. While Harley touring bikes still have the comfort they are so much more these days and were not just talking technology and features. Modern Harley touring bikes actually make some decent horsepower and incredible torque stock. Not only are they making power but they are lighter and handle extremely well for what they are. Harley touring bikes have come a long way from back in the day of being rolling road barges that do one thing well and that was just running down the highway for miles on end. Harley touring bikes have evolved into comfortable high performing and practical machines.

Harley-Davidson Bagger Trend Killed The Cruiser (No Ones Laughing Now)
Просмотров 38 тыс.День назад
Harley-Davidson bagger models have taken over everything these days. It's hard to believe there was a time no one wanted a heavy touring Harley to cruise around town on. Harley-Davidson cruiser models have all but almost disappeared from the local bike nights and bar scenes, the parking lot is pretty much all Harley-Davidson baggers these days. If you ride a cruiser to bike night it might even ...
Harley-Davidson Model Failure, FXDR Went Down in Flames
Просмотров 15 тыс.14 дней назад
Harley-Davidson Model that failed epically was the FXDR, from the start the FXDR did not live up to the hype and lacked everywhere it was supposed to excel. Harley-Davidson introduced the FXDR in 2018 in what appeared to be the replacement for the Vrod but nothing about it was really right. The performance was lower, the handling was arguably better but the ergonomics of the bike were absolutel...
Harley-Davidson Clutch of Choice Slipped Us a Little Favor

Harley-Davidson clutch of choice has done us a little solid depending on your preference. It may be a cost saving measure or it really may of solved an issue but either way it pays off for us in the long run with reduced ownership costs. Harley-Davidson touring motorcycles utilized the hydraulic clutch, the 2021 model year the hydraulic clutch was replaced with the cable clutch. While this may ...

Harley Motorcycles Courtesy of Government and Insurance Have Arrived!

Harley-Davidson Performance RUINED by Infinite Government Wisdom

FEW Twin Cam Harley Engines Make it This Big, It's RARE

I ride Muscle Bikes. I have a Vmax1700 and a Sabre65 . My dream bikes I now own. Never had an interest in a Harley Davidson. Might get a sport touring bike FJR1300 I would buy before I buy a Harley. One last thing is that Harley Davidson doesn’t make a shaft drive bike that is a deal breaker for me because my two bikes are shaft drive.

My suggestion if you don't have a local tuner, I'm not sponsored here but FuelMoto. You can order everything you need, plus get a power vision flash tuner with a FuelMoto custom tune for your setup preloaded so after install all you have to do is flash their tune to the bike. They have some really really good tunes they develop in house on their dyno.

Two up and sometimes pulling a trailer. He suggested a bulletproof 103. Welded crank, timken bearing and 222 cams. Top end basically stock.

Believe me, I’m broken hearted missing my beautiful 2012 Limited full of aftermarket nice toys but at my age (65) I couldn’t tour the country in a HD any longer. Choppers were, and still are cool...but are uncomfortable for anything other than a short ride. Once Harley updated the bagger frame/suspension and put a big twin in it, then released the package as a streamlined Streetglide, everything changed. Today, with HUGE aftermarket support, baggers now handle better than ever, produce more streetable power, carry more gear, and can do all the above in absolute comfort. So the real question isn't "why ride a bagger"...it is "why ride a chopper?"

In 1974 after riding a Panhead chopper for 3 years and finding how useless and impractical it was, I restored the bike back to stone-stock condition as a model FL 1950 Hydra-Glide with footboards, full fenders, fat bobs, windscreen and fringed leather Brookfield saddlebags. 3 words AIR COOLED ENGINE!!!! Change your oil 2 times a year if you want it to perform at its best. 20-50 IS NOT A GOOD OIL FOR TEMPS OVER 70 DEGREES WITH ANY AIR-COOLED ENGINE. Straight 60 in the summer heat and when temp drops below 60 go with a good 30 or 40. 20-50 is a 20 WT oil with additives to reach the thickness of a 50 WT oil. 20 WT oil is too thin for air cooled engines. Common since is apparently a thing of the past.

Hello, I own a 15 Ultra and the cooling pump just went out at 21900 mi. I’m replacing it myself. The instructions are good except for where to move the wiring and plugs that the fans plug into. I have viewed the videos where there has been trouble getting the 2 black color screws out at the bottom of the lower fairings. I got mine out with no trouble, but went easy and slow using hand tools. Wouldn’t recommend using any kind of power drive tool. Harley used a lot of blue thread locker on them. Before reinstalling them I tapped out the inserts just enough to remove thread locker inside them. If you don’t, the screws are tight going back in. I’m going to use a small drop of blue thread locker about midway of the screws before installing them.
